How do I take care of my dried and/or pressed flower items? The dried/pressed flowers need to stay out of moisture. If they get wet or rehydrate then they could rot or mold. They are best displayed in dry areas of your home. An open entry way, in the kitchen near the stove, in the bathroom, or in a laundry area all are not good places for dried or pressed flowers. Light is another factor that affects dried/pressed flowers. Light will diminish the color intensity of any dried/pressed flowers. So, if hanging a pressed flower art picture on the wall you would not want to hang it where sun light would be beaming on it through a widow. If your dried or pressed flowers are on a pumpkin, the pumpkin will rot over time. The larger the pumpkin, the higher the chance of decay—however, these decorated pumpkins should last through Thanksgiving. The minis may last into the new year as they are more of a gourd than a pumpkin. The dried flowers on top need to stay out of moisture. If they get wet or rehydrate then they could rot or mold. It is best to keep pumpkins decorated in any way with dried/pressed flowers in a covered area. If it’s going to rain then there will be lots if moisture in the air so it is best to bring them in until the rain is over.

How do I take care of my dried wreath?Dried Wreath care--Dried Wreaths will last you for many years if cared for properly. Display your wreath in a sheltered area where wind and rain/moisture will not destroy or rehydrate them. Dried flowers are very fragile and can break if it is too windy. When storing in between seasons when not in use, it is best to store in a hard, plastic sealing container. This will stop it from being crushed accidentally while in storage. Then it is best to store the wreath case in a dry, dark place such as a closet inside the house. Basements, sheds, barns, garages that are unheated and not climate controlled are all areas that could introduce moisture and therefore mold. A sturdy box is the second best option. However, cardboard can absorb moisture. If it is in a box and then stored in a damp environment you risk the chance of mold. A sturdy box, stored inside your home is the second best option. Wreath bags are not a good storage option. They do not offer any structure around the wreath should things get jostled around and the wreath could get crushed.
